| we had this symposium at school today, about drugs and gangsterism(i didn't even know such word existed..until today). it was good..a bit boring but it was really helpful. i mean, i don't really get the point of using drugs to satisfy oneself or even joining gangs just to feel complete...
i know some of my schoolmates are gang members and i'm not afraid of them..some of them even belong to my class.. but their good to me so...hell i care about them. i wanna share my experience to you..about gangs..
there was a point in my life when i wanted to engage myself into "gangsterism" because i wanted to feel superior above my other schoolmates. i was a freshman back then and i didn't know any gang members in our school..YET. not until one day...my classmate was a gang member and (he wasn't recruting or anything) he told me about the things that they do..he said that they always have fun and they never do any bad thing....they're just a bunch of guys who make their lives productive by doing fun things.. or in other words, living life to the fullest. so, i got really interested..because i thought that i would be so COOOL if i i would be able to join one.
so, during varsity practice..i couldn't concentrate at all because i so busy thinking about that gang...but after practice, i finally made up my mind NOT to join..all because of one thing.
MY PARENTS.
i didn't want to disappoint my parents or make them sad or anything...because i love them. all my life, i wanted to make them proud of me and repay my so-called debts...i wanted to get high grades for them and to be able to do anything just to make them happy. JOINING GANGS OR TAKING DRUGS ISN'T ONE THEM.
all because of my parents. i didn't want to join that gang anymore. |
